This Privacy Policy applies to all mobile applications ("Apps") published by Arise Above Apps ("we," "us," "our"), a brand of Arise Above Construction LLC, Detroit, Michigan, on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

1. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to provide our services. Most Arise Above Apps require no account and collect no personal information whatsoever.
1.1 Information You Provide Voluntarily
When you use certain optional features, you may choose to provide information including:
- Health and fitness metrics (weight, sleep duration, vitals readings)
- Financial information (budget amounts, expense categories, savings goals โ all stored locally)
- Personal goals and journal entries
- Pet information or family member names (stored locally)
- Contact information you enter (stored locally)
This information is stored exclusively on your device. It is never transmitted to Arise Above Apps servers.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
All Arise Above Apps use your device's local storage (localStorage on mobile web views, or native app storage) to save your data. This means:
- Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it
- We have no access to your data, even if we wanted it
- Deleting the app deletes all associated data
- If you change devices and do not use our export feature, your data does not transfer automatically
2.1 Data Backup and Export
Many Pro-tier apps include a JSON export/backup feature. When you use this feature, you download a file to your device. This file is under your control. We do not receive, store, or process this file.
2.2 Pro Subscription Status
When you purchase a Pro subscription through the App Store or Google Play, your purchase status is verified by Apple or Google and stored on your device. We do not receive your payment information.
3. AI Features and the Anthropic API
Many Arise Above Apps include optional AI features powered by the Anthropic Claude API (claude-haiku model). When you use an AI feature:
3.1 What Is Sent to Anthropic
When you initiate an AI request (such as "Get AI Advice" or "Generate AI Plan"), the following is sent directly to Anthropic's servers:
- The text of your prompt or query
- Relevant app context you choose to include (e.g., your budget summary, habit list, or symptoms โ as shown on screen before you submit)
- Your Anthropic API key (stored on your device, sent directly to Anthropic โ not to us)
3.2 What Is NOT Sent
- Your name, email, or any identifying information
- Your full app history or all stored data
- Any data you haven't explicitly submitted in that session
3.3 Anthropic's Privacy Policy
AI requests are governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review it. Anthropic may use submitted content to improve their models, subject to their terms.
Important: Arise Above Apps does not intercept, log, or store the content of your AI requests or responses. The API call goes directly from your device to Anthropic.
4. In-App Purchases
In-App Purchases (IAP) are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We receive confirmation of purchase status from the platform, but we do not receive:
- Your credit card or payment method details
- Your billing address
- Any payment transaction data
For refund requests and billing issues, contact Apple Support (settings.apple.com) or Google Play Support directly. Our support team can assist with app-level issues but cannot process refunds.
5. Analytics and Crash Reporting
Arise Above Apps do not include third-party analytics SDKs (no Firebase Analytics, no Amplitude, no Mixpanel, no Segment). We do not track:
- Which features you use
- How long you use the app
- When you open the app
- What screens you visit
The App Store (Apple) and Google Play may collect aggregated, anonymized app usage statistics as part of their standard platform monitoring. This data is collected by Apple/Google, not by us, and is subject to their respective privacy policies.
6. Third-Party Services

We do not use any other third-party services. No advertising networks. No data brokers. No analytics platforms.
7. Children's Privacy
Most Arise Above Apps are designed for users aged 13 and older. Apps specifically designed for tracking children (such as AriseChores and AriseBaby) are intended for use by parents and guardians, not by children themselves.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has inadvertently provided personal information through one of our apps, please contact us at [email protected]. Because all data is stored locally, deleting the app removes all data.
If an app is designed for family use and may be used by children under 13, it is noted in that app's App Store listing and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) where applicable.
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
8.1 Your Rights
- Right to Know: You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected.
- Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your CCPA rights.
8.2 Our CCPA Disclosures
We do not sell personal information. We do not collect personal information from our app users in the traditional sense (see Section 1). Since all data resides on your device, you can exercise your right to delete by uninstalling the app, which removes all locally stored data.

9. European Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your use of Arise Above Apps is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.
9.1 Legal Basis for Processing
Because we do not collect personal data from our apps in a traditional sense (data stays on device), GDPR data processing obligations are minimal. When AI features transmit prompt content to Anthropic, the legal basis is Consent โ you initiate every AI request.

10. Data Retention
Since your data is stored on your device, you control retention entirely:
- To delete all data: Uninstall the app from your device
- To delete specific data: Use the delete/clear functions within each app (most apps have a "Clear All Data" option in Settings)
- Your data is not backed up to our servers at any time
If you contact our support team via email, we retain your support correspondence for up to 2 years to assist with recurring issues, then delete it.
11. Security
Because your data is stored locally on your device, the primary security controls are those of your device itself (device lock, biometric authentication, etc.). We recommend:
- Using a strong passcode or biometric lock on your device
- Keeping your device OS and apps updated
- Using the app's built-in JSON export to back up important data locally or to a location you control

12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We will also note material changes in app release notes on the App Store and Google Play.
Continued use of our apps after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you disagree with a change, you may discontinue use and uninstall the app.
